A homecoming high school football game in the region was postponed because of a threat of gun violence. The threat was received several hours before the varsity contest in Dutchess County between rivals John Jay of East Fishkill and host Roy C. Ketcham in Wappingers Falls was scheduled to start Friday night, Oct. 20. The student section for a Hudson Valley high school playoff game will be quiet for an upcoming semifinal matchup after there were reportedly racist taunts lobbied at student-athletes.
