Popular Motorcycle Couple Seriously Injured In DUI Crash In Region
Support is on the rise for a motorcyclist couple from Canada left with serious injuries after being struck by a DUI driver in Greene County, NY. As previously reported by Daily Voice, Craig "Hammer" Sutherland and Charity Hogan, were struck by Derik Wirhouski, 50, who police had said blew a stop sign on Route 23 in Catskill on Tuesday, Sept. 10. He was later charged with DWI and issued multiple traffic citations. Crash Update: 1 Critical, 1 Stable Following 2-Vehicle Drunk Driving Accident In Region
Two victims of an alleged drunk driving crash who were severely wounded remain in the hospital. The collision occurred in Greene County on Route 23 in Catskill at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10. According to Greene County Sheriff's Office Capt. Joel Rowell, responding deputies immediately began life-saving measures on the two seriously injured victims who were ejected from a motorcycle. Eight Orange County Residents Face DWI Charges After State Police Stops
Several Hudson Valley residents were among 17 motorists taken off the road by New York State Police troopers over the weekend for alleged impaired driving. Local residents charged include: Orange County On Friday, Jan. 25, State Police troopers from Wurtsboro arrested James Galletly, 50 of Bloomingburg, for DWI. Four Orange County Residents Nabbed For DWI
New York State Police arrested numerous people over the weekend in DWI incidents in Orange, Dutchess and Rockland counties. Orange County: Walter Post, 22, of Wallkill, was charged with DWI on Friday after being stopped for a traffic violation on Route 208 in the Village of Walden. Edward Bordas, 30, of Newburgh, was charged with DWI following a stop on Route 52 Friday in the town of Newburgh.
