Hudson Valley Man Nabbed For DWI After Almost Hitting Deputy Sheriff, Police Say State Troopers arrested a town of Hudson Valley man for allegedly driving while intoxicated after he almost struck a deputy sheriff who was assisting a disabled tractor-trailer at the time. The incident occurred in Orange County around 9:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 11 in Campbell Hall a hamlet of Hamptonburgh. An investigation revealed that New York State troopers along with a deputy from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office were assisting a tractor-trailer on Route 207 in Campbell Hall that was disabled at the train trestle, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Man Killed, Woman Seriously Injured In Head-On Hudson Valley Crash One motorist was killed and another seriously injured late Wednesday night in a head-on crash in Orange County. A 1993 pickup truck was heading westbound on Route 207 (Little Britain Road) in the area of the Rock Tavern Post New Windsor and crossed into the eastbound lane and stuck a 2012 Toyota Camry at approximately 11:22 p.m., police said. The driver of the pickup truck, Gerald Dembeck of Campbell Hall, was pronounced dead at the scene.
