Landscaper In Hudson Valley Admits To Wage Theft, Faking Business Records
A Hudson Valley landscaper has pleaded guility to failing to pay his workers the prevailing wage and then faking paperwork to cover up the crime. Putnam County District Attorney Robert Tendy announced Thursday, Aug. 26, that Joseph Fregosi, of Fregosi Landscaping Inc., pled guilty to perjury and his corporation pled guilty to falsifying business records and failure to pay prevailing wages. Putnam County Executive MaryEllen Odell stressed school safety, smart financing and county development last week in her annual State of the County speech.During Odell's seventh State of the County address, which was held at Putnam County Golf Course on March 15, the Republican proclaimed that Putnam County is moving in the right direction, highlighted by dramatic cuts in county debt, stable tax rates and key infrastructure investments. Know Anything? Reward Offered After ATVs Damage Putnam Golf Course
A $1,000 reward has been offered by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office after two people drove ATVs on the Putnam County Golf Course.The golf course was able to capture video footage of the culprits riding red ATVs on the property. “We cannot allow individuals to misuse the golf course at the expense of the taxpayers," County Executive MaryEllen Odell said.
