A student at a Hudson Valley college was bitten by what is believed to be a coyote. The incident took place in Dutchess County at Marist College in the town of Poughkeepsie around midnight on Tuesday, Feb. 7 near Leo Hall, according to the college's office of Safety of Security in a statement to students. Police are investigating an incident in which shots were fired near a school in Westchester. It happened around 7:40 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14 in Yonkers in the area of Lamartine Avenue at Warburton Avenue.
