Man Sexually Assaulted Child In Area, Police Say A 28-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a child under 11 years old multiple times. Dutchess County resident Joshua A. Killmer, of Pine Plains, was arrested following an investigation on Friday, March 13, by New York State Police for predatory sexual assault against a child, said Trooper AJ Hicks. The investigation determined Killmer allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with a minor less than 11-years-old between the years of 2017 and 2018 in the town of LaGrange, Hicks said. Dutchess County resident Nicholas Terilli, of Pine Plains, was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in state prison after pleading guilty to the use of a child in a sexual performance and first-degree sexual abuse last year. In addition to his prison term, Terilli was sentenced to 15 years of post-release supervision and was ordered to register as a sex offender upon the completion of his time behind bars. Dutchess County Man Killed In CT Crash A 53-year-old Dutchess County man was killed over the weekend in a motorcycle crash in Connecticut. Jon Morey, of Amenia, was killed around 6:37 p.m., Saturday, July 27, after failing to negotiate a turn on Mitchelltown Road in the town of Sharon, said the Connecticut State Police. According to a state police investigation, Morey was ejected from his motorcycle and hit a wire rope guardrail.  His passenger, Tanja Kraft, of Pine Plains, received minor injuries. Officers received reports from the Arlington section of town at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 28, when the bear was spotted in a tree between Taft Avenue and the Raymond Avenue extension. Police tranquilized the bear while it was in the tree and an officer climbed up and pushed it onto a safe pad on the ground below.
