Man Admits To Northern Westchester Home Invasion After Following Victim From Store
A 79-year-old man has admitted to acting as a getaway driver after he and a co-conspirator followed a woman home from a Westchester grocery store, pulled a gun on her and robbed her. Manhattan resident Philip Budin pleaded not guilty to second-degree attempted robbery, a violent felony, for his role in a burglary in Chappaqua last year. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino said that as part of the plea, Budin will be required to pay restitution by the time of his sentencing date on Oct. 10. A man and woman who followed a woman home from a Westchester grocery store before pulling a gun on her and robbing her are facing a host of charges after being busted attempting to make a second heist. Mirabai Sheridan, of the Bronx and New York City resident Philip Budin has been indicted and arraigned on charges related to a Chappaqua home invasion in October last year, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced on Thursday.
