A Hudson Valley man has been sentenced to prison for forcing a teen to perform oral sex at gunpoint in a Northern Westchester County parking lot.
Orange County resident Christopher Daqui, age 32, of Walden, was sentenced on Thursday, Dec. 8, to nine years in state prison with 20 years post-release supervision, said Westchester County District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah.

Police asked the public for help identifying a man who is wanted for using stolen credit cards at multiple Northern Westchester stores.
On Thursday, Nov. 10, a man used stolen credit cards to purchase items at various stores in Ossining, Cortlandt, and Peekskill, New York State Police reported on Wednesday, Nov. 23.
Police said the items were valued at more than $1,173 in total.

Relationship Between Teacher From Northern Westchester, Student Turned Violent, Police Say
A teacher in the region is accused of engaging in a sexual relationship with a teenage student that eventually turned violent, authorities said.
Northern Westchester resident James Korwatch, age 49, of Ossining, was arrested by Yonkers Police Wednesday, Aug. 31, on violent felony charges of criminal sexual act and stalking.
Investigators said Korwatch, who teaches at Saunders Trades and Technical High School in Yonkers, began an inappropriate relationship with a then 17-year-old student in 2021.

The man who killed two women in his Westchester County apartment 36 years ago has been paroled from Green Haven Correctional Facility.
Paul Leon, age 53, formerly of Pelham, was released on Monday, Aug. 22, after having been granted an open date by the Board of Parole following his appearance on Wednesday, Aug. 3, said Rachel Connors of the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
Leon was 16 years old on July 27, 1986, when he killed Ossining resident Lois Feraca, age 83, and her 49-year-old daughter, Theresa Carbone, by beating and stabbing them.
