Teen Duo Nabbed After Police Pursuit In Dutchess County Two teens wanted for a variety of alleged traffic and vehicle violations fled from police before being nabbed in the Hudson Valley following a parking lot crash.  The incident began in Ulster County in the town of Lloyd at 1:15 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, when two teens in a 2022 Hyundai Elantra traveling northbound on Route 9W fled from police in an attempted traffic stop and ended in Dutchess County in Poughkeepsie, According to Trooper Steven Nevel, troopers pursued the vehicle toward the city of Poughkeepsie and terminated the pursuit before entering the city. ID Released For 16-Year-Old Victim In Fatal Poughkeepsie Shooting A teen who died after being shot while walking along a Dutchess County street with a friend has been identified. Frederick Wells, 16, of the City of Poughkeepsie, was shot around 10: 33 p.m., Saturday, June 20, in the City of Poughkeepsie, said Det. Lt. Matt Clark. Officers responding to a 911 call to the area of North Bridge Street and Charles Street found Wells shot, and another 16-year-old teen stabbed, Clark said. Suspect On Loose After Armed Robbery At Popular Poughkeepsie Deli Police are asking the public for help to identify a man suspected in an armed robbery at a popular deli. The robbery took place around 1:22 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Muzzies, at 195 Mill St., in Poughkeepsie, police said. The suspect was described as wearing black Nike sneakers, a black, hooded Columbia sweatshirt and had a black handgun, police said. During the incident, the suspect allegedly demanded money then fled the store on foot heading north on North Bridge Street, then ran towards the Charles Street Housing Complex. Police Seek Info On Poughkeepsie Juveniles Shooting BB Guns At Vehicles City of Poughkeepsie police are looking for reports of additional incidents after two juveniles were caught shooting BB gun pellets at vehicles in the area of Mill and North Bridge streets on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the City of Poughkeepsie Police. Police stationed two officers in the area after receiving reports that at least three cars had been hit, shattering their windows. The officers were able to locate the two juveniles Wednesday as they were shooting at passing cars, police said.
