Area High School Student's Racially Charged Social Media Post Draws Condemnation
A racially charged post on Snapchat by an area high school student that went viral has put the author in hot water with law enforcement. The incident began when the unidentified student at Minisink Valley High School allegedly took a photo of a female African-American classmate and then referred to her using the "N'" word in the post, and adding that she should be lynched, said News 12. Bus Driver Charged With Making Terroristic Threat In Hudson Valley
A school bus driver with the Minisink Valley School District has been arrested for making threats of violence against other employees at the district's bus garage, according to the New York State Police. Albert DiPaola, 71, of the Town of Greenville, was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of making a terroristic threat, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
