Barricaded Suspect Taken Into Custody After Standoff At Northern Westchester Residence: Police A suspect has been taken into custody after barricading themselves into a Northern Westchester residence and making threats of harm, police said.  The incident happened on Wednesday, Sept. 13, when a person in Yorktown at a residence on Sandpiper Court made threats of harm and claimed they had access to weapons, according to Yorktown Police Chief Robert Noble.  Authorities then limited access to Sandpiper Court out of an abundance of caution and told residents on Maple Brook, a neighboring road, to shelter in place as police attempted to bring the incident to a safe ending.&n…
