House Fire Causes Heavy Damage In Area
Fire and EMS battled a large house fire overnight that heavily damaged the home in the area. Mahopac Falls Fire and EMS were dispatched around 3:25 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 23 to a home at 72 Mexico Lane, in Mahopac, said Jack Casey, public information officer for Mahopac Falls VFD. First arriving units confirmed a working fire and requested all equipment from both stations respond to the incident. Odor At Mahopac High School Sickens Two Employees
This story has been updated. Two people were hospitalized after being sickened by an unknown odor at Mahopac High School. Mahopac Falls Fire and EMS were dispatched to the high school around 12:08 p.m., Monday, July 15, and found the two school employees suffering from the unknown odor, said Jack Casey of the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department. Mahopac Falls ambulance transported the stricken employee as a priority.
