Police are investigating a series of prank bomb threats that disrupted schools across New York. At least a dozen school districts reported so-called swatting threats on Wednesday morning, Oct. 18, including in the Capital Region and on Long Island, Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office announced. An officer-involved shooting at a Long Island home that killed an elite fencer is under investigation by the New York State Attorney General’s Office.
