Hundreds of thousands of AirJet and HydroJet Spa Pumps sold across the country are subject to a recall due to a fire hazard that resulted in at least one death, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). In the region, employees with the Albany Water Department got quite a scare on Friday, July 12, while responding to a broken 48-inch water transmission line in Tivoli Lake Preserve. Fashion designer Kate Spade was found dead in her Manhattan apartment of an apparent suicide on Tuesday, according to multiple reports. A housekeeper called authorities at 10:20 a.m. after finding Spade -- whose real name was Kate Brosnahan -- at her Park Avenue apartment. She apparently left a note, according to several reports.
