Worker Critical After 40-Foot Fall Through Skylight At Hudson Valley School A construction worker is in critical condition after falling some 40 feet through a skylight at a Hudson Valley middle school. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 2 at the Union Vale Middle School in Lagrangeville.  According to Det. Sgt. Adam Harris of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, the man was working on the skylight when he fell. It happened this week in Westchester at Rye Playland, according to a report by ABC New York. The Music Express ride, which was carrying children and adults, spun backwards for as long as 10 minutes on Sunday, July 23, according to video obtained by Eyewitness News. Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler announced Wednesday, July 26, that Lamont Williams, age 29, of Newburgh, was sentenced to 25 years in prison to be followed by five years of post-release supervision.
