2-Car Crash Hospitalizes 1, Closes Part Of Busy Hudson Valley Road A two-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley sent one person to the hospital and caused a brief closure on a busy roadway. The incident happened in Putnam County on Wednesday, April 17 just before 10 a.m., when two cars collided on Route 6N in Mahopac near Parker Drive, according to the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department.  Arriving first responders soon closed Route 6N at the nearest intersections and tended to the drivers' injuries. One driver was taken to Hudson Valley Hospital while the other refused medical attention.

Man Dies After Being Struck By Vehicle In Northern Westchester Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash in Northern Westchester. It happened at approximately 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, on Crompond Road and Lafayette Avenue in the town of Cortlandt. Man Killed By Falling Tree In Northern Westchester A man has died after a tree fell on him while he was working in Northern Westchester. The unidentified 61-year-old was killed around 9 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 14, on Farm Walk Road in Yorktown, police said. Bicyclist Hospitalized After Getting Hit By Car On Route 6N A bicyclist was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car on Route 6N, near Carmel. The incident occurred Thursday afternoon near the county sand pile after a person driving a vehicle struck the bicyclist, said officials. Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire, EMS, and Fire Police were dispatched, along with Carmel Police. The driver of the vehicle was "shaken up" but not injured. The bicyclist was transported to Hudson Valley Hospital with minor injuries.
