A grand reopening ceremony celebrating the rebuilding and renovation of Fleischmann Pier and Charles Point Park in Peekskill will be held on Sunday, Oct. 13 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on John Walsh Boulevard, officials announced on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Two brothers who killed a Hudson Valley man who shot him 12 times and left him lying in his driveway to be found by a sanitation worker have been sentenced to years in prison. The incident occurred in Ulster County in Jan. 2023 in Plattekill.
