The incident occurred in Dutchess County at the Dutchess County Board of Elections (DCBOE) in Poughkeepsie on Monday, Oct. 7. New Details: Hundreds Of Vehicles Involved In Crashes On Icy Roadways In Westchester, Rockland
Police have provided an update on the string of crashes amid icy conditions on major roadways in the region during the height of the morning commute on Wednesday, Jan. 5. Shortly before 6:00 a.m., state police began responding to a multitude of weather-related crashes involving hundreds of vehicles. The majority of the crashes involved multi-vehicles and were property damage only, police said, but one was fatal. HazMat Team Called To Peekskill PD After Fentanyl Exposure Scare
The Peekskill Police Department was evacuated after several officers and an arrestee were potentially exposed to fentanyl in the booking area of the police station on Nelson Avenue. The incident took place around 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, when a white powdery substance, later identified as fentanyl, was "introduced" into the booking area, said Peekskill Police Lt. The pilot of a 1989 Bell 222A helicopter that crashed in the area said the chopper experienced an engine failure causing the crash and for the helicopter to overturn. The crash took place around 12:38 p.m., Saturday, March 30, near 77 Youngblood Road in Bullville, just west of I-87 in the Town of Crawford in Orange County. The six onboard, five passengers, who were celebrating a birthday, and the pilot, suffered minor injuries, Crawford Police said. NYC Bus Terminal Re-Opened After Hour-Long Lockdown
The Port Authority Bus Terminal in midtown Manhattan was reopened following a lockdown Wednesday morning after a suspicious white powder was found. The terminal desk "received a report of an unknown white substance on the floor in the south wing" just after 9 a.m., the authority's Joseph Pentangelo said. Clinton Corners Man Killed In Rhinebeck Crash
A Clinton Corners man has been identified as the person killed in a two-vehicle crash that entrapped one person and closed Slate Quarry Road for hours. The crash, between a 2014 Hond CRV and a 2004 International propane truck, occurred around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday resulting in the death of Francis J.
