But the reality that we have almost a full month left of winter will set in soon enough. The change in weather will start Thursday as morning showers will be followed by rain and temperatures falling to the mid-30s by late afternoon. Freezing Rain, Ice: Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Orange County Freezing rain and ice is expected is expected north of I-84 overnight into Saturday morning, prompting a Winter Weather Advisory from the National Weather Service that includes Orange, Putnam and Dutchess counties. Northern Westchester and Rockland will see rain with freezing rain possible before 11 a.m., then a slight chance of freezing rain and sleet between 11am and noon. The advisory is in effect from 4 a.m. until noon Saturday for Orange and Putnam and from 3 a.m. until 7 p.m. for Dutchess.
