A police officer in the Hudson Valley who allegedly slapped a 14-year-old at a restaurant and was suspended has died unexpectedly, according to police. Middletown Police Department Detective Fredrick Slanovec died on Monday, Sept. 4 at his Orange County home. "Detective Slanovec served the City of Middletown Police Department for 17.5 years, appointed as a police officer on Jan. 30, 2006," the department said. Detective Accused Of Assaulting 14-Year-Old At Restaurant In Hudson Valley
A detective at a local police department was placed on unpaid leave and could potentially be fired for allegedly assaulting a boy at a restaurant in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Orange County on Saturday, May 6 at the Olde Erie Restaurant located at 7 West Main St., in Middletown. According to Middletown Police Lt.
