Hudson Valley Mother Nabbed For Beating Kids With Foam Baseball Bat, Police Say
A Hudson Valley mother has been charged with allegedly beating her two children with a foam baseball bat, causing injuries.
The incident occurred in Rockland County around 2:20 a.m., Monday, Oct. 7, in Stony Point.
According to Lt. Daniel Schoales of the Stony Point Police, officers responded to Nyack Hospital to investigate a domestic incident.
The investigation revealed that two juveniles revealed that their mother, Kimberly Rivas, age 33, of Stony, had used a foam baseball bat to strike both juveniles several times, causing injuries, Schoales said.

Rockland County residents Tao Zhang, age 35, and Vivian Wu, age 35, both of Nanuet, were charged on Tuesday, July 2, following an ongoing investigation into illegal firearms in the county.

A Hudson Valley man has been charged with allegedly exposing himself to women walking in a residential area.
The incident occurred in Rockland County on Monday, June 3, in Chestnut Ridge.
According to Lt. Chris Franklin of the Ramapo Police, Orange County resident Joseph Perez, age 31, of Greenwood Lake, was exposing himself while in a vehicle in Chestnut Ridge.
An investigation was conducted by RPD Detectives, which resulted in the identification of the vehicle and the suspect, Franklin said.

A mother has been charged with allegedly violating a custody agreement after allegedly taking her son out of a Hudson Valley school.
Chana Elena Morales, age 32, of the Bronx, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 26 after taking the child from Maple Hill Elementary School in Orange County in the town of Wallkill.

A Hudson Valley man who was arrested last year for allegedly kidnapping his daughter and hiding her under a staircase for three years has been arrested again for a string of alleged burglaries.
Ustler County resident Kirk D. Shultis, age 33, of Saugerties, was arrested on Wednesday, March 8.
