A 37-year-old man from the region is facing charges after authorities discovered him to be in possession of child pornography, police announced. Dutchess County resident Daniel Arnold of Holmes, age 37, was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 22 in connection with an investigation into child pornography conducted by the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office and the US Department of Homeland Security, the Sheriff's Office announced. Fatal Hudson Valley Crash Under Investigation For Failure To Yield, Police Say
Police in are investigating a two-car fatal crash that killed a local man in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14 on Route 22 in the village of Pawling. According to Capt. John Watterson, of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, a preliminary investigation has revealed that a 2020 GMC Terrain operated by Robert Tompkins of Dover Plains was traveling northbound on Route 22 when it struck a 2010 Jeep Cherokee making a left turn from Reservoir Road onto Route 22. Threat Of Bombs At Hudson Valley Mall Leads To Evacuation, Search, Police Say
A busy Sunday at a mall in the region quickly turned to fear when officials began evacuating the building due to a bomb threat. The incident took place in Dutchess County at the Poughkeepsie Galleria on Sunday, Oct. 29 just before 2 p.m. Capt. Michael O'Dowd of the town of Poughkeepsie Police said 911 received a call reporting that bombs had been placed at the Galleria. Two Hudson Valley men are behind bars after being nabbed by a drug task force for allegedly dealing fentanyl in the area. Worker Critical After 40-Foot Fall Through Skylight At Hudson Valley School
A construction worker is in critical condition after falling some 40 feet through a skylight at a Hudson Valley middle school. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 2 at the Union Vale Middle School in Lagrangeville. According to Det. Sgt. Adam Harris of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, the man was working on the skylight when he fell.
