Woman Ejected After Vehicle With Three Occupants Crashes Into Trees In Area, Sheriff Says
Investigators say “fatigue” may have caused a Hudson Valley driver to lose control of a car and crash into a wooded area early Wednesday, July 13, sending three people to the hospital. The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened just after 3 a.m. in the Town of LaGrange on Route 55 near Sedgewick Road. A preliminary investigation found that a 2011 Honda Accord was traveling westbound on Route 55 when the driver lost control and drove off the roadway before striking several trees, police said. Sound The Alarm: Crashes Spike When Daylight Saving Ends, AAA Says
While many were glad to get an extra hour of sleep due to the end of Daylight Saving Time on Sunday, AAA is cautioning that commuters need to be wary of drowsy driving due to the clock shift.
