Man Stabs Woman, Self In Front Of Danbury Officer In Apparent Murder-Suicide, Police Say A man and woman are dead in Fairfield County from an apparent murder-suicide in which the man stabbed himself in front of a police officer. The incident took place in Danbury around 12:10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 27 on High Ridge Road. According to Det. Capt. Mark Williams of the Danbury Police, an officer on patrol heard a verbal altercation in the area of High Ridge Road and Scuppo Road.  Upon investigating the disturbance, the officer found a man standing over a woman who was lying on High Ridge Road. Two Charged After Fight, Shots Fired At Diner In Fairfield County Two men were arrested for an alleged fight at a Fairfield County diner in which shots were fired. The incident took place in Danbury around 4 a.m., Sunday, July 24, at Elmer's Diner on Padanaram Road. Danbury Police officers responded to the diner for the report of a fight with gunshots being fired. Officers who responded to the area discovered a fight had occurred in the diner before their arrival, said Danbury PD Det. Capt. Mark Williams.
