Dumpster Fire Breaks Out On Route 6 All hands were on deck in Mahopac when a fire broke out in a dumpster of a Route 6 waste oil recovery business. First responders were dispatched to Enviro Waste Oil Recovery LLC on Friday, Jan. 18, leading to a full response from fire crews and paramedics. Mahopac Fire Chief Bill Nikisher was the first on scene and took over control as crews went to work. Due to difficult confines, a second call was made to bring in additional manpower to battle the dumpster fire.
