Child Rape: Man From Region Drove 40 Miles To Meet 13-Year-Old For Sex, Police Say A 26-year-old man from the region is behind bars after allegedly meeting an underage teen for sex. Greene County resident Michael Oquendo, of Castkill, was arrested Friday, March 10, for second-degree rape and other charges following a traffic stop in Albany County, according to Cohoes Police. Investigators said the department was contacted at around 8:30 p.m. by family members reporting their 13-year-old daughter missing. 30-Year-Old Apprehended After Series Of Violent Attacks In Hudson Valley Town A Hudson Valley police officer and several others were injured by a 30-year-old man during a series of violent attacks. Jamel M. Williams, address unknown, was arrested in Dutchess County on Wednesday, Oct. 26, in the town of East Fishkill. According to East Fishkill Police, officers responded around 9:20 a.m., to Sunset Drive for the report of a burglary in progress where a female homeowner was being assaulted by Williams. Suspect Apprehended After Police Sergeant Stabbed During 'Unprovoked' Attack In Westchester A police sergeant is recovering at home after being stabbed during an unprovoked attack by a local Westchester County resident who has been apprehended. The attack took place around 1:26 p.m., Thursday, May 20 in Dobbs Ferry. The Dobbs Ferry Police sergeant, whose name has not been released, was assisting Con Edison with a traffic detail on Beacon Hill Drive, said Dobbs Ferry PD Chief Manuel Guevara. The sergeant was able to make an "officer needs assistance" call to the department and report that he had been assaulted by a man wielding "possibly" a knife, according to Guevara. …

Troopers on patrol in Tarrytown at 9:20 p.m. on Saturday, May 15 stopped Springfield resident Andre Hickson, age 35, on I-87 when he committed a traffic violation, police said.
