Drunk Driver Crashes Into Truck In Construction Zone In Westchester, Police Say A Fairfield County man was arrested for alleged DWI after crashing into the back of a construction vehicle in a work zone in Westchester.  Fabian Madera, age 43, of Shelton, was arrested around 10:20 p.m., Tuesday, March 23, after New York State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-95 in Mamaroneck, said Trooper Tara McCormick. A preliminary investigation revealed that Madera was driving a Toyota Camry northbound, approaching a lane closure in a work zone when he rear-ended a construction vehicle blocking the right lane, McCormick said. Multiple Fire Departments Battling Three-Alarm Fire At Yeshiva Under Construction Multiple fire departments are battling a three-alarm blaze at a building under construction in Sullivan County that has closed a roadway. The fire, which started in Fallsburg around 7:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 23, is located at 84 Laurel Park Road, which is currently closed to traffic, said the Fallsburg Police Department. Man Seriously Injured After Construction Accident In Area A 78-year-old area man was seriously injured after falling off a scaffolding and onto the floor below. Cornelius Matthew Zabriskie, of Goshen, was injured around 9:20 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 28, while building a concrete stairwell on Inwood Drive, in the Town of Walkill, said the Wallkill Police. Zabriskie was rushed to Orange Regional Medical Center for treatment. The town of Wallkill detectives along with officials from the Occupational & Safety Administration are conducting an investigation.

The Department says a lane closure is scheduled for the Hutchinson River Parkway northbound and southbound between Exit 8 (Sanford Boulevard) and Exit 13 (Cross County Parkway) in the Westchester County villages of Eastchester and Mount Vernon and the city of New Rochelle.
