Columbia County Sheriff’s officials said the Cane Corso, now named Barney, was found abandoned on the side of Route 23 in the hamlet of Craryville on Thursday, Jan. 25. A passerby spotted the animal and assumed it had been struck by a car because it couldn’t put any weight on one of its front legs. Family Fight Ends With Man Stabbed In Capital Region, Police Say A man is recovering after he was stabbed during a family altercation in the region. In Columbia County, police in the city of Hudson were called at around 5:45 p.m. Sunday, June 2, with reports of a large fight near North 5th street and Long Alley. When officers arrived, they found a 35-year-old man who had been stabbed in the chest with a knife, according to Hudson Police.
