Driver Hospitalized After Car Slams Into Pole In Danbury A driver who had to be extricated from a vehicle after slamming into a power pole in Danbury was injured in the crash. The crash occurred around 11:18 p.m. Thursday on Town Hill Avenue near Clark Street after the driver lost control and hit the pole, said James Gagliardo, of the Danbury Fire Department. Danbury fire was already working another crash on I-84 when the call came in, so the Bethel Fire Department was called in to help with their rescue truck, Gagliardo said.
