Suspect Nabbed In Series Of New Paltz Burglaries, Larcenies
New Paltz police arrested a Lloyd man in connection with a rash of burglaries and larcenies. After a month-long investigation into reports of two burglaries at an area car wash on different occasions and several car break-ins, detectives established probable cause to charge Dominik Teroni Jr. of Highland. 46, and announced the charges on Friday, Aug. 21. The incidents took place between Tuesday, July 14 and Tuesday, July 21. Warning Issued After New Car Burglary In Red Hook
Police are warning residents to lock their vehicles after a car burglary that matches a string of others across the area. Police said the latest break-in occurred at Poets Walk at Red Hook where thieves smashed a car window and made off with a purse that was inside. Similar thefts have taken place at Bard College and in Rhinebeck. The suspects are believed to be using a punch tool to gain entry and look for vehicles were contents are left visible in the front seats, Red Hook police said. Alert Issued For Man, Woman Accused Of Stealing From Vehicles In Hyde Park

Police in Hyde Park are asking local residents who may have seen something to alert investigators after a man and woman allegedly broke into several cars and stole items out of local cars in the area of Mansion Drive. Investigators noted that residents should lock their doors at night in an effort to curtail thefts from vehicles. Anyone with information regarding the recent rash of thievery has been asked to call the Hyde Park Police Department by calling (845) 229-9340.
