Crash Causes Injuries, Heavy Traffic On Taconic Parkway A crash resulted in injuries and a heavy traffic jam on a busy parkway in the Hudson Valley. The incident happened on the Putnam and Dutchess County line on Monday, Jan. 8 just before 5:30 p.m., when the Kent Fire Department received a report of three cars becoming involved in a crash on the northbound Taconic State Parkway.    Arriving first responders found one vehicle in the left lane with damage to its front end. Man Hospitalized After Being Struck By Car Near Capital Region College A man is fighting for his life after being struck by a car near a college campus in the region. The incident happened at around 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26 in Schenectady near Union College. Schenectady Police said the victim was struck as he walked along Van Vranken Avenue near Kenwood Street.
