Wanted Stolen Car Suspect In Fairfield County Apprehended, Police Say
A wanted man in Fairfield County has been apprehended after allegedly stealing a car from an area home that was later recovered in Northern Westchester, authorities announced. In Darien, the police department received a report of a vehicle stolen from a Contentment Island Road residence on Sunday, Feb. 6 that was later located in North Salem. Police noted that the car was unlocked with the keys inside at the time it was stolen. Most Wanted Fugitive In Double-Murder Case Caught In Area
A 54-year-old man named one of U.S. Marshals’ 15 most wanted fugitives was captured 16 years after he allegedly killed his sister and an ex-girlfriend in New York City. Andre Neverson, 54, was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 4 after U.S. Marshals and police received information that he was hiding in a house in Bridgeport, authorities said. U.S. Marshals and Bridgeport Police closed in when Neverson was spotted leaving the home. Neverson, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, is accused in the 2002 murders as well as for a parole violation and an illegal entry into the United States, according to the …

2-Year-Old Drowns In Fairfield County Backyard Pool
A 2-year-old boy died after being pulled from a swimming pool at a Fairfield County home.The incident took place around 7:30 p.m. Thursday when Bridgeport Police were called to a home on Charron Street for a drowning, said Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. When officers arrived EMT's were already on performing CPR on the child who was then transported to an area hospital by police escort where he was later pronounced dead, officials said. An investigation is underway, Harris said.
