Mahopac Schools Superintendent Anthony DiCarlo announced that an individual has tested positive for COVID-19 at the middle school, prompting emergency action after the number of cases in the district since September has reached 11. Transportation Supervisor Resigns Amid Bus Delays, Complaints At Mahopac Schools
Mahopac School Superintendent Anthony DiCarlo announced that district Transportation Supervisor Pamela Romeo has resigned. The change comes after ongoing transportation problems and complaints since the first day of school on Sept. 5. Parents reported that elementary school children were arriving home from school as much as two hours late. Some buses were late arriving at school in the morning, in some cases disrupting the morning roll call for attendance. Mahopac Resident Named New Schools Superintendent
Anthony DiCarlo is the new man in charge of Mahopac's public schools. DiCarlo, who lives in Mahopac, was given a five-year contract by the Mahopac Board of Education at Thursday's meeting to be the district's new superintendent. DiCarlo, who serves as principal of Trinity Elementary School in New Rochelle, starts on Feb. 26.
