Teen Pleads Guilty In Connection To Fatal Crash Near High School In Area
A Hudson Valley teen has entered a guilty plea for his role in a crash that killed a 16-year-old boy and seriously injured a 17-year-old girl. Alan Mendoza, of New City, pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated vehicular homicide on Tuesday, Dec. 7, according to Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh. On May 6, 18-year-old Mendoza was driving on Congers Road in New City when his Mitsubishi Lancer crossed a double yellow line and struck two other vehicles, Walsh said. As the family of a 16-year-old Hudson Valley teen killed in a three-vehicle crash prepares to lay their son to rest this week, the community is showing their support by donating to a GoFundMe effort. Rockland County resident Vladyslav "Vlad" Hvalyk, of Clarkstown, was killed around 10:50 p.m. on Thursday, May 6 in New City on Congers Road near the Clarkstown North High School. A teen involved in a violent three-car crash near an area high school is now facing a host of charges. The crash happened in Rockland County at approximately 10:50 p.m. on Thursday, May 6 in New City on Congers Road near the Clarkstown North High School.
