Facing a budget deficit, a Hudson Valley school district will be redistricting, including the closing of one of its elementary schools. Putnam Valley High School has officially been recognized as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. As of September 2019, PVHS will offer an IB Diploma Program, which enables students to centralize their education around global topics involving inquiry, reflection and international mindedness. The Katonah-Lewisboro School District was named the "best school district" in New York state, by 24/7 Wall St. The financial news and opinion company based in Delaware ranks Best School Districts in every state, and the survey can be accessed here.
