Service Scheduled For Mother Killed In 7-Eleven Road-Rage Attack
Services have been announced for Melissa DeLoatch, the pregnant Rockland mother of six children who was killed last week by an enraged man who had been asked to stop smoking. A visitation will be held for DeLoatch, 32, from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann's Church at 16 Jefferson St. in Nyack. A funeral will follow at the church at 11, announced Hannemann Funeral Home. Maternal instinct is what saved Melissa DeLoatch's children. The mom -- reportedly several weeks pregnant with her seventh child -- threw herself in front of her 11-month-old baby's stroller when an aggressive driver careened twice into the Haverstraw family outside of a Garnersville 7-Eleven Wednesday. Pearl River 7-Eleven Armed Robbery Suspect On Loose
A suspect is on the loose after an armed robbery late Friday night in the area. The robbery occurred around 10:45 p.m. at the 7-Eleven on North Middletown Road in Pearl River, according to Detective Sergeant James Sullivan of the Orangetown Police Department. Moments after entering, the man displayed a firearm and ordered the clerk to remove the cash from the two working registers, Sullivan said. Two Northern Westchester Store Clerks Sold Alcohol To Minors, Police Say
Clerks at two stores in Northern Westchester were charged with selling alcohol to underage customers in a detail conducted by New York State Police from the Somers barracks on Friday, April 27. A total of 10 establishments were checked during the detail. The two clerks charged were: Danbury resident Nube M.
