Police are investigating a late-night attempted robbery in the region that caused a minor car crash and left a man injured. A police manhunt is underway after a shooting that left a man dead and a woman injured near several schools in the region. Emergency crews in Rensselaer County were called at around 2:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, for a shooting in Troy’s Lansingburgh neighborhood, near 6th Avenue and 105th Street. A teenager is fighting for his life after being shot near an elementary school in the region. The shooting in Rensselaer County happened shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday, July 13, in Troy, near 6th Avenue and Swift Street. According to Troy Police, two groups of people got into a fight and someone opened fire, intentionally striking a 16-year-old boy. The suspect then fled the scene.
