15-Year-Old Student Brings Gun To Capital Region School, Police Say A 15-year-old student is facing charges after allegedly bringing a gun to a school in the region. Albany Police were called just before 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, for a person with a weapon at Green Tech High Charter School, located on Slingerland Street. Officers spoke with school officials and arrested the teen after finding him with a handgun, police said.
