New York Harbor Patrol recovered the body on the New York side less than a half-hour later.
They brought it to the 125th Street Pier to be turned over to the city Medical Examiner’s Office.
The 40-year-old victim was from the College Point section of Flushing, Queens, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police told CLIFFVIEW PILOT. Her relatives live there.
