BEYOND BERGEN: An SUV crushed by a tractor-trailer in Washington Heights tied up George Washington Bridge rush-hour traffic tonight.
The crash occurred at the end of the Amsterdam Avenue ramp to the Cross Bronx Expressway around 4 p.m. when the driver tried to pass the rig on the right, police at the scene told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
She was taken to Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital with injuries that authorities said weren’t serious.
New York City firefighters and NYPD and Port Authority Police officers were among the responders.
