Port Authority Police Officer George Kwiecinski stopped the blue 2007 Freight Liner tractor-trailer after it blew through the EZ Pass lane around 5:30 a.m., the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.

“Both the rear and front license plates of the vehicle had been tampered with,” Pentangelo said. “The plates had been smeared with grease to cover characters of registration.”

Arrested and charted with theft of services, tampering with public records and altering license plates was 33-year-old Pavel K. Kosovan of Vancouver, WA.
