Jorge Mesinas-Lopez, 24, of Salisbury, was arrested on Route 343 on Thursday and charged with driving while intoxicated, a felony, police said.
Police said Mesinas-Lopez had a DWI-related conviction from 2012.
He provided police with a breath sample that revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.20 percent, more that two times the legal limit, police said.
He was arraigned in the Amenia Town Court and released, police said.
He was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
