Timothy Rozelle, 38, was arrested Tuesday by state police after troopers received a report from a Town of Washington resident in August that a number of checks had been written using their bank account totaling $13,345, said Trooper A.J. Hicks.
An investigation into the crimes revealed that Rozelle deposited and cashed multiple forge checks throughout several jurisdictions in Dutchess County, Hicks said.
Rozelle was charged with felony grand larceny, felony possession of a forged instrument and petit larceny.
He was arraigned before the Town of Pleasant Valley Justice Court and is being held at the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 property bond.
