Man Charged With Entering State Prison In Dutchess With Contraband

BEEKMAN, N.Y. -- Jafari R. Fray, 23, of Mount Vernon was arrested by New York State Police on Wednesday and charged with promoting prison contraband.

Fray was accused of entering the Green Haven Correctional Facility with a razor blade, when he went to visit an inmate.

He was arraigned in the Town of Beekman Justice Court and held without bail at the Dutchess County Jail. Fray is scheduled to appear in Town of Beekman Justice Court on Jan. 14 at 6 p.m.
