Officers responding to the 1:30 p.m. call found the good Samaritan wrestling with the 27-year-old Bedford Hills woman, who he said had put her foot on the railing in an attempt to jump into the Hudson River, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this afternoon.

She was taken to Bergen Regional Medical Center, he said, adding that neither she nor the cyclist was injured.
