2 hospitalized, 2 treated at scene of GWB bus station fire

BEYOND BERGEN: Two people were taken to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and two were treated at the scene after a small fire broke out this afternoon at the George Washington Bridge bus terminal in Washington Heights.

None of the injuries was considered serious, Joseph Pentangelo of the Port Authority told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Investigators were trying to determine the cause of the blaze at the station, which has remained open while undergoing renovations.

It was reported at 1:16 p.m. and extinguished in less than 20 minutes, Pentangelo said.
