MILLBROOK, N.Y. – Rita A. Travia, of Millbrook, died Tuesday, Nov. 26.
She was born to Francis Xavier Sorrentino and Emily D’Amore.
Travia earned an associate's degree from the Madison Academy of Economics in Brooklyn,.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband Anthony, a former speaker of the State Assembly and a U.S. District Court judge, and sons Anthony Jr. and Robert.
Travia is survived by two daughters-in-law, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Church in Poughkeepsie with interment to follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
The Joseph J. Darrow Sr. Funeral Home in Poughkeepsie is handling the arrangements.
