Bueti was born to Serafino and Grazia Bueti in Chappaqua, along with his twin brother, Tony on Jan. 16, 1919. All of his seven siblings predeceased him.
Bueti was raised in the small town of Solano, Italy from the age of 2 until he returned to Chappaqua at the age of 16 in 1935. He opened the Greeley Barber Shop in Chappaqua that year and ran the business for 56 years before semi-retiring in 1991.
He was a founding member of the Solano Italian American Club in 1946, a volunteer fireman with the Chappaqua Fire Department and an employer and mentor to dozens of fellow barbers throughout his career.
Bueti served in the U.S. Army, mostly in Europe, from 1940 to 1945, when he returned home to Chappaqua.
He is survived by his wife Alice Bueti, and five children, Barbara Temple of Pawling; Sandy (Bonnie Roy) Bueti of Torrington, Conn.; John (Allie) Bueti of Ojai, Calif.; Debbie (Robert) Stoever of Pawling, and Rick (Tricia) Bueti, of Old Lyme, Conn. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A wake will be held 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cassidy Flynn Funeral Home, 288 Main Street, Mt. Kisco, A Roman Catholic Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at the Church of St. John and St. Mary, 30 Poillion Drive Chappaqua, followed by burial at St. Francis Cemetery, Mt. Kisco.
