The results show that 427 voted against the referendum while just 129 voted in favor.

The proposal involves acquiring two parcels along Route 22 that are currently used by Dutchess County Diesels. A pair of buildings on the premisses would be renovated for use as the new town facilities.

The bond package would have paid for the purchase and construction measures.

The town has argued that new buildings are necessary due to space constraints and structural issues with current facilities.
