DOVER, N.Y. -- Firefighters with the Dover Fire Department contained a large brush fire in the vicinity of Leather Hill Road, according to fire officials.

The National Weather Service issued an elevated risk for wildfires with wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph hour possible in the area.
